With 15 years of experience advocating for her own child and 7 more years helping hundreds of families navigate the school system, Tamara is ready to help you too. She has not only helped her daughter with Rhett's Syndrome achieve her goals as a high school graduate, but she continues today as her job coach. She has become a fierce advocate in the field of education rights and vocational rights for people with disabilities in Tennessee.
First, you book your free consultation and tell us your child's story. Then Mission2Advocate does the research for you and creates an action plan. We attend your next IEP together. We meet once more to co-create a plan and get you the tools you need to advocate for your child's future.
Advocate mentors are key - no one goes into a diagnosis knowing what the future could look like for their child. That's where we come in. Our guarantee is to give each family the time and guidance needed to navigate their child's future with confidence.
Tamara is a public speaker and a mom who has devoted her life to making her daughter's life full of possibilities. She learned how to advocate for McKenzie after receiving a notice from her teachers that said they would take her to the basement of the school until she smiled at them. That's when she realized she couldn't be silent as her daughter with a severe form of Autism couldn't express her needs to her teachers.
Her advocacy has taken her daughter from being misunderstood to being an MNPS Ambassador, published author, cheer leader, Wesley Rice Student of the Year, and Wesley Morgan TN Titans 2022 Community Hero. McKenzie has a full social life and a part time job at Bubble Love tea shop where she takes orders with her communication device.

"Edlyn was really struggling and when we finally got her diagnosis from the doctors, it made more sense. She needed some supports at school to succeed and Mission2Advocate put the pieces of the puzzle together for us. We are so glad to have Tamara!"
"We had no idea what we should have been legally asking for. Theo was showing behaviors at school that we knew weren't bad behavior, just part of his diagnosis. Tamara helped us explain to his teachers that he just needs certain support to do his best."
